Ruth Dalzell is a printmaker and mixed media artist. Semi abstract and figurative. Her influences are from observation, travel and litetature. A recent project has been linoprint illustrations from T.S Eliot’s The Wasteland and experimental tree and landscape prints.
Through the exploration of asymmetry, texture and contrasting clay bodies, these works seek to create depth, movement and complexity of form. Layered techniques including slip decoration, mono printing and glossy glaze combine to produce tactile surfaces and subtle visual contrasts, rooted in an earthy, organic aesthetic.”
